Clear Ocean Partners is a maritime and commodity focused investment firm. The firm specializes in sourcing, analyzing, and executing unique opportunities with asymmetrical risk/reward profiles. Clear Ocean Partners manages investments, which include operating companies, asset funds and other interests. Clear Ocean Partners is based in the Tri-State area, but through its investments operates out of offices around the world.

Clear Ocean Partners is rapidly growing and is seeking an Accounting Manager to manage accounting and finance activities for various entities within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a robust accounting background in either the alternative investment, maritime, or commodity industries, coupled with an entrepreneurial mindset. The Accounting Manager will report directly to the VP of Finance. This position will assist the VP of Finance by managing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing data analysis to support strategic decision-making. This role requires in-office work 5 days a week out of our office in Stamford, CT (Summer Fridays are available, where employees can work Fridays from home between Memorial Day and Labor Day).

The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree in accounting and a CPA license, or actively working towards their CPA with parts of the exam passed. Additionally, they will have 5+ years of experience in accounting (public/private mix preferred). Knowledge of US GAAP is required and familiarity with IFRS is a plus.
