The CMA Education Foundation’s mission is “to promote and support maritime-related education through financial assistance, events, and activities.
It is recognized as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit educational association. While it is closely associated with the Connecticut Maritime Association (“CMA”), the CMA Education Foundation is a separate legal entity.
The CMA Education Foundation’s primary activities include:
– Awarding scholarships to further maritime education.
– Subsidizing paid internships for aspiring maritime professionals.
– Engaging and educating the general public to promote the maritime industry and international trade.
– Hosting career fairs.
– Special initiatives in cooperation with generous donors.
